We present the Gospel to children throughout all of our ministries because we believe that God is working in their lives. Our prayer is that they will truly accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior at a very young age. Even though a child may pray to receive Christ at an early age, it may be some time before they understand the fundamentals of Christianity and are able to communicate what their faith in Christ means. Therefore, before a child may become a communicant member, they must complete the following items:
· The child must attend a Children’s Inquirer’s Class
· The child must complete a membership application form
· The child must give a credible Christian testimony before the elders of the church
We currently have a Children’s Inquirer’s class once a year during the summer months. With the parent’s permission, elementary age children may attend the class, which is held during the Sunday school hour. If your child is interested in becoming a communicant member of Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church, please pray about it with them and make plans to have them attend the next Children's Inquirer’s Class, which will start next June. If you have any questions concerning this process or the class, please call Rev. Bill Myers in the Children's Ministry office.
