Virginia McGuigan's Biography

 

VirginiaMcGuiganVirginia has known a lifelong calling to praise and worship the Lord Jesus Christ in music. A musician since age 5, she gave her life to Christ as an 8-year old at a Christian summer camp, and has served Him in church music ever since. Virginia has led church music ministries and taught piano, flute and voice throughout the US and in Germany while raising two sons with her husband, Frank who served in the US Air Force.

Virginia has performed as a professional keyboard, instrumental and vocal/choral musician for over 30 years. She studied privately with members of the Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra, Philadelphia Opera; with two internationally acclaimed concert pianists, and several internationally acclaimed conductors. She earned her Bachelor of Music at Temple University in Philadelphia, and her Master of Music at Oklahoma State University, where she also taught classroom piano and voice. She currently serves on the faculty of Jefferson College as Director of Choirs.
