Mission to the World
Dr. Eric Larsen serves as the Director of Mission to the World’s Global Youth and Family Ministry (GY&FM). An ordained pastor, he holds degrees from Covenant College, Covenant Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary where he earned his Doctorate in “Youth, Family and Culture.” He also serves as an adjunct professor of Global Youth and Family Ministry at Covenant Theological Seminary and Reformed Theological Seminary.
Dr. Larsen, along with his wife Rebecca, are launching a new initiative through MTW’s GY&FM which will include recruiting, training, sending and sustaining youth ministers around the world. Their goal is to develop youth ministry movements by equipping national leaders and indigenous churches to reach the next generation. Along with reaching youth globally, the Larsens invest in missionary kids by providing resources, training and care for Third Culture Kids (TCK) and their parents. Eric himself is a TCK growing up as the son of world ministry leaders living in Kenya, Australia and the United States.
Dr. Larsen has served in over 25 countries throughout Eastern and Western Europe, Africa, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. Eric and Rebecca have four girls: Abigail, Meghan, Natalie and Emma. The Larsen family makes Chesterfield Presbyterian Church in far west St. Louis County as their home base.
