Travis and Brooke Scott

Travis and Brooke Scott are itinerating missionaries to Auckland, New Zealand, called by the Grace Presbyterian Church of New Zealand (GPCNZ), a small fledging denomination, for the primary purpose of church planting. While New Zealand historically has had a strong Presbyterian and Reformed presence, due to heavy Scottish immigration, this is no longer the case. Currently, less than 4% of the population are Bible-believing evangelical Christians, making New Zealand a truly post-Christian nation.

The GPCNZ was formed in 2003 as the mainline Presbyterian Church was becoming increasingly plagued with extreme liberalism. The GPCNZ currently has 18 congregations throughout the country worshipping each Sunday but only 10 congregations have full-time pastors with only a handful of men currently training for pastoral ministry. It is this drought of ministry within the denomination that has prompted the call to the Scotts to come.

Travis and Brooke are members of Kirk of the Hills in St. Louis. They both are from Michigan and are graduates of Kuyper College. Travis is a 2006 graduate of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. He has worked with Jerram Barrs at the Francis Schaeffer Institute for the past several years and serves as the contributing editor for Critique, a publication of Ransom Fellowship. Brooke serves as the Administrative Assistant to Rev. Cartee Bales, the Missions and Outreach Pastor of the Kirk of the Hills.
