Luciano and Luciene Pires are serving the Lord in their native city of Goiania, Brazil. Luciano and Luciene returned to Brazil in 2002 after completing degrees at Covenant Theological Seminary. Luciano received an M.Div. and Th.M., while Luciene earned an MA in Theological Studies. They have established a ministry called Colloquium. At Colloquium Christians and non-Christians have the opportunity to reflect on relevant issues about life in general and about the Christian faith. Believers are strengthened in their faith and unbelievers have opportunity to hear about salvation through the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The mission at Colloquium is to foster true, real debate in the light of absolute Truth generating a Christian worldview through a reformed perspective. Their prayer is that by God’s grace and for His glory people may be transformed by the gospel.

During the first five years of ministry over 5,000 people have attended their various Bible Studies and outreach events.

In 2008, the Pireses will celebrate the fifth anniversary of “Colloquium.”
