Karl and Debbie Dortzbach have served with MTW since 1980. They have sought to plant and nurture churches while seeking to better understand the holistic needs of the global church wrestling with poverty, HIV/AIDS and conflict. This year Karl is working on a curriculum for Peacemakers that is being used in many theological schools across the continent of Africa and Asia. In the next two years it will be taught in more than 30 seminaries and Bible Schools. Karl travels teaching the peacemaking curriculum throughout Africa and Asia.

 Debbie is the Director of Health and Social development for World Relief  and works with global teams to guide churches to respond to the needs in their communities relating to the AIDS crisis, maternal child health and human trafficking in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. She travels extensively to assess needs, write funding proposals, help develop church-based ministries and offer consultative services and evaluations to the programs once they have begun.
