Beloved and Destined
Scott Kerens
                                           Room 219

(This class continues until the end of May.) Whether subconsciously murmured or audibly screamed at the mirror, the most important question many ask is “Who am I?” Most people, Christian or not, ask this beacon question when we are in our college years and our twenties. How we answer this question will determine what we do with our lives, who we date and marry, where we live, and a plethora of other life-defining decisions. God has incredible things to say about who we are and what we should do, and there is plenty of Scripture to help us know what God says. Who are you? What should you do with your life?

Open to Adults of All Ages

Second Corinthians
Randy Kirkland                                            Lecture Hall

We will be studying Second Corinthians, one of Paul’s most personal letters, but a letter which regrettably is not often taught, having been overshadowed by other epistles like Romans and Ephesians. In the words of one commentator…”Second Corinthians is a letter stained with Paul’s blood, sweat and tears. To know this letter is to be moved by Paul’s life. What is most striking, however, is not what this letter reveals about Paul, but what it says about God…This ‘Godward’ orientation remains true whether he is speaking about his intense suffering or his change in travel plans…the collection of money for Jerusalem or the future of his own ministry.” We will patiently work through this wonderful letter, periodically pausing to dwell on theological matters which deserve extra attention. Come prepared to learn and be challenged.

Reformation and Modern Church History
John Myers                          Room 211

Discussions will cover key events and persons of the 14th and 15th centuries that led to the Reformation. Luther’s stand, Zwingli’s, Calvin’s and Knox’s contributions will be reviewed. Orthodoxy, Rationalism and Pietism will be discussed along with the expansion and challenges of Christianity during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Evangelism Institute 101:

The Way of the Master
Andrew Henske and Dorothy Callier          Fellowship Hall D-F

Who do you know who isn’t saved? How are you going to reach them? Seek and save the lost the way Jesus did. Discover how to simply and confidently share the Gospel with family, friends and strangers. You’ll learn how to overcome your fears by speaking to a person’s conscience (the knowledge of right & wrong) rather than to their intellect (the place of argument).

Habakkuk and Selected Psalms
Terry Jones                             Fellowship Hall A-C

Was the old blues singer reading your mail when he sang, “If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all?” Been down so long that bottom looks like up? Well, for Habakkuk and Israel, things couldn’t get worse…and then God told Habakkuk times could and would. Habakkuk’s response? God, how can you allow such evil to happen to your people? And God, how can I live in such hard and evil times? Join us as we study this short Old Testament book. During our study we will linger in several Psalms as we learn more of our Heavenly Father.
