
Dwayne Ter Maat started at Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church in 2007 as Special Assistant to the Senior Pastor, first as a volunteer and then as a part-time staff member. In 2010 the Session appointed Dwayne to the full-time position of Administrative Director.
Dwayne served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Radiographer. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology from St. Louis University and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He had a teaching career on the faculty of St. Louis Community College for 35 years from which he is retired. Dwayne has been a ruling elder for 30 plus years and has had a wide range of experience and roles during that time. He has had the blessing of sitting under reformed preaching and teaching virtually all of his life.
Dwayne and his wife, Marcella, have been married for 41 years. Marcella is an RN. They have 3 adult children. Recreationally, Dwayne enjoys playing tennis, golf and skiing in the winter. For 3 years Dwayne served as Lay-Chaplain at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Wyoming during the ski season where he and Marcella led Sunday outdoor worship services.
