Scott Kerens (pronounced care-enz) is the
Pastor to Young Adults.
He leads the Collegelife and Quarterlife ministries.
Scott became a Christian in the eighth grade after seeing the Gospel of grace in the lives of people at a church near his home in Clayton, MO. Psalm 68:6 came to have incredible meaning for him through his church. The Psalm says, "He sets the lonely in families." The church became a family.
Elizabeth grew up in St. Louis as well. She met Scott on a double date at a Branson Applebees in 2001--they were each dating someone else! Scott finally asked her out a few years later, married in 2006, and had their first child, Kate, in September of 2008.
Scott and Elizabeth live in Des Peres and enjoy seeing God in
relationships, mountains, and the Church. They also occasionally sit in a canoe in the backyard (in the grass)
and read letters from family and friends.
