Good Samaritan Meal Ministry

Good Samaritan Meal Ministry

God calls us to serve on another in love.  Each household of Twin Oaks Church will be asked to help provide a "home-cooked" meal approximately once per year.  This meal will be delivered to another family in our church.

This ministry is provided for congregants who need a meal when they are faced with surgery or illness, a death in the family, or when they are going through a difficult time.

Members or regular attenders simply bake a main dish that can be frozen.  The meal is placed in a disposable 8 X 8 container and label it with the date and the name of the food, along with heating instructions.  Soups, casseroles, and stews work very well.

Meals are stored in a freezer at church.  There is a sign out sheet which needs to be completed when food is taken out. Any questions about contributing meals or withdrawing meals can be referred to the church office at 636-861-1870.
